Poshmark will give the buyer a full refund under two conditions:

  • If the ordered item never ships.
  • If the ordered item doesn’t match the listing description.

If none of the above conditions are true then all sales are final on Poshmark.

When a buyer buys something on Poshmark, Poshmark doesn’t instantly pay the seller and instead holds the payment until the buyer says that he got what he ordered.

After it’s delivered, the buyer has 3 days to tell Poshmark if it’s not what he expected. The buyer can do this on the Poshmark app or website, and include photos if needed.

If Poshmark agrees with the buyer, they’ll give him a shipping label to send it back to the seller and give the buyer his money back. However, the buyer needs to make sure to send the item back within 5 days of refund approval.

How to File a Return on Poshmark as a Buyer?

  1. Log in to your Poshmark account and tap the profile icon.
  2. Now, scroll down the menu and tap “My Purchases.”
  3. Tap the order that you want to refund.
  4. Next, tap “Problems / Order Inquiry.”
  5. Tap “Order Not as Described.”
  6. Select a reason for your return.
  7. Add photos to support your case and write a description explaining the issue.
  8. Lastly, tap the “Submit”

How Long Do Poshmark Returns Take?

Credit/Debit Card:

If you paid with a credit or debit card, then it usually takes about one full billing cycle for your bank to reflect the refund amount on your statement.

Posh Credits or Redeemable Balance:

If you used Posh Credits or your redeemable balance to pay the order, then you will get funds back to your account within 1-2 days from the time of order cancellation.

PayPal or PayPal Pay Later: 

If you paid via PayPal, then your refund will be available in your PayPal balance. 

However, if you used a credit/debit card that is connected to your PayPal account, then it might take up to one full billing cycle for the refund to appear on your card statement, depending on your bank’s processing time. 

Though, you can see the processed refund in your PayPal account statement.


If you paid with Affirm, refunds are issued to the bank account or debit card you used for payments. Expect your refund to show up in your account within three to ten business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.


If you used Venmo to purchase an item on Poshmark then the refund will be available in your Venmo balance within 1-5 business days.

If you used a credit card connected to your Venmo account, it might take one full billing cycle for the refund to reflect on your credit card statement.

Poshmark Gift Card:

If you used a Poshmark Gift Card, the funds will return to your gift card within 1-2 days from the time of order cancellation.
